Mar-02-04  InspiredByMorphy: Kramnik plays the dutch fiercly. 20.Rxf3!
Sep-06-04  Knight13: Okay. White resigned for no reason at all. If I am wrong, tell me. Good game.
Sep-06-04  maoam: <Knight13>

Regardless of White's 22nd move, Black wins with:

22...♕xf3+ 23.♔g1 ♕g2#

Dec-10-04  aw1988: How can it be a "good game" if a side resigns for no reason?
Dec-10-04  sneaky pete: Maybe because the game wasn't agreed drawn for no reason after 11 moves.
Dec-11-04  aw1988: sneaky, I would have no problem accepting that fact. :(
Jan-12-05  Poisonpawns: What happened to "this" Kramnik? I like the fierce Kramnik playing dutch!
Jan-12-05  JamesKnight: Vlad the Peaceful
Jan-12-05  Shams: 11. Qb3 is not to the point here. white must take on f5, whether or not he intends to grab the e-pawn on the next move. Letting black sac the pawn on f4 is really asking for it.
Jan-12-05  ranchogrande: >Poisonpawns< .Good point about Vlad.So the very yong Kramnik turns out to be the "good old Kramnik".Perhaps hes nursing his title to much. And a pitty the ducth leninggrad isnt played, almost, any more at the highest level. And the strongest comps have a very heavy score with the black pieces!...
Feb-10-05  BadTemper: 20 Black to move and win should be a good easy puzzle of the day
Oct-23-05  alexandrovm: that's a nice rook sac by Kramnik
Nov-04-05  Deefstes: Is that really a Rook sac strictu sensu? I'm a noob here and no Chess expert but to me it looks like a Rook-Knight exchange. It also happens to win Black the game.

Maybe I should ask it this way; if there was some way for the white King to escape after 20...Rxf3, would it still have been a Rook sac or would it have been considered a Rook-Knight exchange?

Jan-21-06  vortex: Was Qxb7 playable on move 17 for white ? It seems like the Nbd2 prevented white from co-ordinating his pieces properly. The finish is surprisingly forceful.
Dec-14-06  littleshiva: 21 Qxd5 Qxd5 22 Nxf3 e4
May-03-07  WarmasterKron: <<Poisonpawns> What happened to "this" Kramnik?>

He changed his opening repetoire, a fairly common thing for chess players at all levels to do.
