Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-30-04  Poisonpawns: Nice win by Dautov it seems Kramnik was lost by move 20 or so do to all the holes in his position. The light square weakness of Kramnik was too much to handle this game. With that said 13..b4 had to be played, after Be6? white takes the iniative and Kramnik never has another chance. so 13..b4 14.Nd1 Bb7 15.Ra1 a6 16.Ne3 c5 17.Bxb7 Rxb7 18.dxc5 dxc5 and maybe slight plus for white if not = And you can see the differnce in the game where black is cramped out of his mind and with 13..b4 he has = amount of space to move.
