Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-02-05  fgh: 38. Bg6!! creates a very nice mating net. After 43. Rc7, black is hopeless. The threat is 44. Bg7+ and the h6 pawn falls. If black plays 43. ... Rd2 or 43. ... Re2, hoping for a back rank mate, white plays 44. h3, and after 44. ... h5 45. Rh7 black looses his h-pawn and the game. On the other hand, 43. ... h5 44. Rh7 and black is also lost.
Jul-19-07  Andreiko: Very good analysis fgh...compliments!
nice game from the two players.
A.
Jul-19-07  fgh: Thanks, that analysis is actually more than two years old but anyway :-)
Jul-20-07  Peter Johnson Ng: so what is the latest
Feb-09-08  LivBlockade: <fgh:> I don't see the point of 43. Rc7 - I wonder if White actually played 43. Rh7.
