Nov-18-11  transpo: After 6.Bc4 never play 6...Nf6 as it exposes Black to many tactical shots after 7.e5. Much better is 6...a6 denying White access to b5 which is the focal point of his tactical shots after 7.e5

Richard Taylor: I just played a game with 6. .... Nf6?! and won! 97. e5 was played, I saw it coming and had underestimated it. But I got into difficulties, and had some luck. It appears though that although it is not as good as 6. ... e6 Black can play after 6. ... Nf6 7. e5 Ng4 8. e6.... 6...a6 might be a move also.

It was the first time I had accepted this Gambit in a standard time control game. Will have to improve on what I played for sure.

Jul-11-17  edbermac: Instead of 14...e6, why not 14...e4?
