Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-21-04  sneaky pete: Instead of playing 19.Nxf6+? white can win with 19.Nxe7+ followed by 20.Nxc8 etc. Black's attempt to attack after losing pawn and exchange can easily be parried. Funny thing: some of black's moves leading to this lost position are loaded with !! in books by experts like Gufeld, Sapi/Schneider and Ward, and white's 16th move sometimes gets a ?, but I have seen no master repeat Ljubo's bluff, so they know better.
Jun-21-04  SicilianDragon: I think Black can save himself with 18...Nxd5 19. Qxh7+ Kf7 20. Bh6 Rg8 21. exd5 Qxa2 as in the following game:

Jun-22-04  sneaky pete: >SicilianDragon< You are right, thank you for supplying that game. Of course black should play 18... Nxd5 but my point is that theory suggests the losing move 18... c3? is winning. When this line was played against me in a correspondence game 10 years ago (sneaky pete vs NN, corr 1994) I spent some days analysing 18... Nxd5 19.Qxh7+ Kf7 and concluded 20.Bh6 is unsatisfactory but 20.Nf5 is very promising. I never rechecked those analyses after NN played 18... c3!! and duly lost. White against Ljubo is by the way not "Ioho" bot Aijala Jouko from Finland.
