Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-26-16  WorstPlayerEver: Interesting.

Marshall plays 16. 0-0

Instead White has a "crusher" according to Fischer. Can you see it? :)

Phony Benoni: There is a slight glitch in the score, as sources (Brooklyn Daily Eagle, August 9, 1923; American Chess Bulletin, Septemer / October 1923, p. 151) give Black's 4th move as <4...N-B3>. Of course, it makes absolutely no differences as the game goes.

Black is forced to take the draw at the end, since his bishop is trapped.

Santasiere finished tied last place in this tournament with a score of +0 -8 =5. But three of those draws were against Marshall (=1st/2nd), Janowski (3rd) and Edward Lasker (4th).
