Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-19-14  Caissas Clown: Nice chap , is Alex. I met him at a tournament , years ago , and watched a game where he had a terribly cramped position (but managed a draw). I asked why he played a certain move which seemed to make his position even more cramped. He was kind enough to explain it to this patzer .Joel Bejamin was in the same tournament : he,too.was similarly patient and helpful in discussing his game.
Feb-24-16  Anansi: I couldn't agree more. I first met Aleks in the mid/late 1990s, found him to be a great person, and very patient and generous with his chess knowledge. I was a keen junior club level player at the time, rated about 1380 at the time. I have not spoken to him in a long time, but still count him as a good friend. We enjoyed some great meals together, we both love our food!
