  Chessical: Thomas plays very dynamically as White to destroy his opponent's K-side in the supposedly fortess-like Spanish, Deferred Steinitz defence.

Monticelli never gets his counterplay going with <h5> or <Bg4>, and is overwhelmed with <19.h6>

He obviously did not believe in the threats, but <19... Nxh6?> is too dangerous, he had to play <19...g5>

Thomas loses no time and with <20.Nxg7!!> demolishes the Black K-side. After the attractive <26.e5!>, Black runs out of options.
