mormonchess: Petrosian's 57th move is very instructive. He sacrifices a bishop in the endgame in order to push his e-pawn to the promotion square. I'm sure that Tarasov didn't see that one coming, but he wisely demurred and refused the offer. Nevertheless, Petrosian's deft maneuvering keeps White from equalizing.

Junior 9 analysis shows that after White's 56th move, none of the lines are positive for White. Instead of 56. Bb3, he should have pushed his pawn to a4. But even then, Junior shows it as a draw at best.
