  GrahamClayton: It is interesting to compare the placement of the White pieces after 24. Nd5:

While it appeared that White was playing aggressively, the retreat of the pieces over the next 10 or so moves so that White's plan was misguided.

Jul-01-12  King Death: The position in the first diagram looks like White has a lot going for him but once Polugaevsky plays 24...f5 I think his position is better. White has more space but he doesn't really have anything to do and Black can gain space on the king side.
