GrahamClayton: Wojtkiewicz must have been shocked when White played 33. Rc7!, realising that after 33...Rxc7 34. Qd8+! the Queen is immune, eg 34...Rxd8 35. Rxd8 Kf7 36. Rf8#.
Mar-05-12  victorlyu: Polugaevesky's 34 Qd8+ is indeed brilliant. But Wotjkiewicz's careful counterplay gets him a draw, I think. Instead of 40 --- h6? and resigning he should play
40 --- Rc1+
41 Kf3 Rc2+
42 Ke1 Rc1+ (White's king must avoid the white squares because black's Qh5+ wins!)

43 Kd2 Rc2+ and draw by perpetual check since Kd1 leads to Qh5+! .

Mar-05-12  Penguincw: Nice win. White really knows how to be on the attack.
