Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-20-09  Murphyman: Perfect Symmetry after 13 moves (26 ply)

"Zugzwang Lite" as GM Rowson put it.

Apr-25-14  zydeco: Nice sequence from 24....Rc2 to 35....Na2 when Tal sacrifices the d6-pawn in order to create compensation by weakening the e3 square (25....Bg4!). Black recovers the pawn and gets a significant advantage.

Not sure why Tal doesn't play 43.....Rf2.

Nifty footwork by both players with 59....Bf5 and 61.Ba2. Not sure if Tal had a better chance for a win somewhere. (Maybe 61....g5 is better than 61....Kg8.)

Aug-23-18  RookFile: This about as close as you can come to a win without getting it.

65..g3? only draws. Tal could have won with 65..Ke7!

For example, 66 Rb6 (66 Rxc2 Bxc2 67 Kb2 Kd6! 68 Bc4 Be4 69 Kc1 g3 70 Bf1 Ke5 71 Kd1 Kf4 72 Ke2 Kg4 73 Ke3/e1 Bc6 wins) 66..Rd2 67 Bc4 g3 68 Bf1 Bd3 69 Rb3 Rd1 70 Be2 Ra1+ 71 Kb4 g2

  woldsmandriffield: If after 65..Ke7 White goes 66 Rxc2 Bxc2 67 Bd5 then 67..Bd1 68 Bg2 Bf3 69 Bf1 Kf6 70 Kb2 Kg5 is too fast.
