Jonathan Sarfati: White threatens both Rb8 and Nxe6, either of which win important Ps that hold Black's game together. A Dubai TV station had a show on the Olympiad, and they thought that the Stonewall was just the wrong opening to play against a great strategist like Portisch.
Aug-22-12  harish22: Kf7 parries both the threats. Spragget must have resigned in disgust though. His pieces are confined to the last three ranks and he lacks space. He would have decided to reserve his energy.

  Jonathan Sarfati: If 30... Kf7 then 31. Rb8 winning Pb7.
