  whiteshark: Identical to Vaganian vs Psakhis, 1984 except for White's 23th move.

<23.Rae1 or <23.Ra4>> ??

Sep-28-08  vonKrolock: This version seems more logical - the move is a direct attack and the suggestion that the ♘ at 'e4' is pinned when white play 24.♗c3 is strong- also, one of the online databases (NIC) presents only the present version with 23.♖ae1 - my computer also inclinates itself to this move by almost a ♙ plus a 1/2 ♙...

  whiteshark: <vonKrolock> Yes, 23.Rae1 with 23...Ne4 24.Bc3 looks consistent/logical. However three databases

have --> 23.Ra4.
