May-16-03  I.Carras: I have the feeling that they have made more than 50 moves without exchanging pieces nor moving pawns but ainīt sure.Would it be a draw?

Honza Cervenka: I don't see 50 moves without exchanging pieces and moving pawns in this game.

Nov-06-03  Jack21221: Even if they had, it is only a draw if it is claimed by one side or the other.
Apr-27-06  soberknight: Have you ever felt stupid for hitting the space bar 320 times without actually writing anything? Because that's what I just did in order to play through this yawner of a game.
Apr-27-06  offramp: Almost exactly like watching a disk defragment.

WannaBe: But disk defrag. have prettier colours! =)
Apr-28-06  Swapmeet: Wow, I had no idea the spacebar moved the game forward...you just changed my life.
Apr-28-06  PivotalAnorak: <Swapmeet> same here lol Thank you <soberknight>
Apr-28-06  soberknight: I'm surprised you folks didn't know that hitting the spacebar moves the game forward, but that's okay. What's funny is that for me, I needed to use the keyboard because on my old-fashioned computer monitor, the board covers the whole height of the screen window, and the buttons below the scoresheet are off the screen.
Apr-28-06  Nomen Nescio: 56...Black to play and win.
Apr-30-06  soberknight: <NN> Did you mean <156>...Black to move and win?
Jun-18-06  Chess Classics: <soberknight> Hey, good idea, thanks! That makes my life so much easier.

I guess I learned more from soberknight than from any of the 320 ply here.

Regards,
CC

Aug-16-06  tTinker: This is the kind of ending I'm afraid of, you though a complex bishops of opposite with a lot of pawns did it. I guess bishop endings take longer because they can only hit half the squares. With knights, it appears more cut and dry but I could be wrong.

keypusher: It's actually a pretty interesting game...Salov's manuever of his king from the upper right to the lower left side of the board is quite something.

Thanks, Soberknight.

Jul-29-07  ceebo: I would have played on with Kh2 hoping for c1Q stalemate :)
Aug-04-07  alexandrovm: it must be the 50 move rule, otherwise black wins this...
Jan-01-08  Whitehat1963: OMG! Did these guys hate each other or was there a lot of money riding on the outcome?
Jan-01-08  Riverbeast: A fascinating game
Jan-17-09  WhiteRook48: 161. Qxc3+??? I think this was a huge blunder on Short's part, why did he trade in the first place?
Feb-07-09  WhiteRook48: why wasn't the game Short?
