Honza Cervenka: Nice game by Smyslov. But his play can be improved at some moments. For example, 21.f5! Bxf5 22.Nxf5 Rxf5 23.Rxf5 Qxf5 24.Bxb6 cxb6 25.Nd6 would have won immediately. Also 25.d6!! was a powerful alternative as 25...Qxf4 26.Qd5+ Kg7 27.Nh5+ loses outright.

Quite interesting question is what white planned to play after 17...Qxa3. Maybe 18.Nb5 Qb4 (18...Qe7 19.Nxc7 Nxc7 20.Bxb6) 19.Nxc7 Nxc7 20.Rxc7 Qd6 (20...Rf7 21.d6) 21.Rxg7+ Kxg7 22.Qd4+ Rf6 23.Nc3 (threatening 24.Bxe4 fxe4 25.Nxe4) 23...Qb4 24.g4 with quite complex position. But immediate 18.g4 like in the game seems to be quite good as well.
