Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-26-12  goldenbear: Theoretically, who would you say has the advantage in the final position?

Sneaky: Black, because he's Tal, and he'll magically whip up threats out of thin air.

No seriously, there are some positions that not even the magician can penetrate. I can't imagine why any side would have any advantage over the other. Black is going to play ...Rd8, the rooks will vanish, and the pawns are dead equal. These two fighters would have gone on if there was anything to fight for.

Jun-26-12  goldenbear: I would play on in this position against a player my strength if I were Black. I think Black's knight is better and if White is incautious he can get into trouble here.
Jun-26-12  King Death: There's nothing in this position with only a little care and I should mention that probably neither player was going to risk too much, it was the 8th game of this best of 12 Candidates final match (http://www.365chess.com/tournaments...) and the score was even going in to this game. Tal was probably very happy to get easy equality with Black.
