Phony Benoni: I don't care what he swears; it wasn't in self defense. Black never got his gun out of the holster.

It is an instructive lesson in operating on both flanks.

Twocolors: I'm not convinced. What happens if black simply takes 27..Qxc5? Neither 28.Ng5 nor 28.h5 e5! seems to be good for white, so 28.Qf6 but then 28..Qe7 draws and Jon's promising position has disappeared. My guess is he should have played 27.Qa3! Rxb6 28.Ng5! Kg8(hxg5? 29.Qh3+ and cxb6 or Qxg6? 29.cxb6) 29.Qh3 threatening both Qxh6 and cxb6.
Oct-11-09  Samagonka: Impressive game. Sheriff's defensive style of play eventually gets punished by the crushing 30Nd7. The rest is simple arithmetic.
Oct-11-09  WhiteRook48: actually geometry
