Dec-29-04   chesscookie: This is a pretty game indeed. I really think MSK was the tal of his time.

notyetagm: What an incredible sequence of piece play by Sultan Khan beginning on move 14.

19 Re6xNf6! is a great example of the <RELOADER> theme, that one defender (Black g7-pawn) cannot keep out two attackers (White e6-rook and g5-queen).

White will recapture on f6 (<RELOAD>) with his queen if his f6-rook is captured by the Black g7-pawn. That is, 19 ... gxf6?? 20 Qxf6+ Kg8 21 Nh6+ and Black must give up his queen to escape the <Blackburne's Other Mate> mating pattern.

Yet another example of a <RELOADING> square, here the f6-square, being lined up with the king (Black h8-king).

Aug-19-06   vizir: exellent mat attacking
Aug-20-06   Chess Lou Zer: Good puzzle after 15...Bg4.
Oct-17-06   ismet: move 19 Resign for Black .

Tabanus: The black player here is Olaf M. Olsen, Norwegian Champion 1930. He later changed his name to Olaf Barda.
