Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-26-04  rochade18: 39.Rc8 wouldn't save black anyway because it would leave the pawn on f6 vulnerable.

YouRang: Tal's queen runs an "end around" black's queen!
Mar-17-05  davidleetw: why black don't move 34 Rxa3?
Mar-17-05  psmith: 34... Ra3 35 Qb6 (threatening Qf6) and I think white wins.
Mar-17-05  samvega: <why black don't move 34 Rxa3?> Black must defend f6 and the back rank:
34..Rxa3 35.Qb6 (or Qc6) Qe7 36.Qb8+ wins.

34..Qe8 allows black to interpose at c6 and then retreat the queen to c8, where it is connected to the rook.

Feb-15-07  epiclurker: gnarly
