black is clearly winning but why a draw?

40...Qf4 or 40...Rf5 will give Mikhail some problems to solve.

Apr-29-11  Nilsson: perhaps, because he played against M.Tal?!
/JN
Apr-29-11  wordfunph: <Nilsson> good point.. :)

Klovans played against monster Tal! He may be in cloud 9 after halving the point versus The Magician from Riga..

Apr-29-11  shivasuri4: Oh come on,Tal was just 15 then and not so well known.
Apr-29-11  wordfunph: right <shivasuri4>, but Klovans was 16 then.. :)
Apr-29-11  Nilsson: I am sorry, sometime you have to study a little bit more about the situation, game, etc. I just answered (is that correct english?)directly without analyzing game, age and so on. Normally I use to think before replying on this page, but following other chatters I do not think I have to be shamed over my self.(Nobody named)Janis klovans is also a strong CC-Player I think. /JN
Apr-29-11  wordfunph: <Nilsson> no big deal my friend, have fun and enjoy kibitzing..

where you from?

May-01-11  Nilsson: I´m from Norrkoping, Sweden, playing Otb chess representing Schack-08 Norrkoping. Just now I am also playing CC-games Olympic 19, Preliminaries section II at first board, Swedish team. /JN
May-01-11  wordfunph: <Nilsson> nice profile thanks. I'm from Philippines, a patzer and a chess book collector. See you around..
May-01-11  wordfunph: <Nilsson> i think you're FM Sebastian Nillson..

Sebastian Nilsson

<Nilsson> happy birthday!

May-01-11  Nilsson: As commented at another page, I am not
Sebastian.
If you are looking for games played by me, you can check Nicbase.com Chessbites.com There is a special game, I can recommend to study, a french variation, Jiri Novotny-Jörgen Nilsson a CC- game from early 90:s also presented in theory books, (Now I look like Lifemaster himself! Sorry, Goldsby!) My ICCF rating is 2528, and the title is IM 1994, SIM or SM 2001, something like that. Lifemaster hopes he will be a GM, I do´nt give a @#$% for that. I just want to play...chess.
