Fusilli: <who: Larsen's plan beginning with 21.Qc4 misplaces his queen terribly.> True. I'd also say that 13.h4 was misconceived, but it is easy to say that with the benefit of hindsight. BTW, why 27...Rf5 instead of Rfe6?
Jul-30-08  Boomie: <Fusilli: <why 27...Rf5 instead of Rfe6?>

After 28. e4 dxe4 29. Re2, white can hold out a little longer. 27...Rf5 prevents e4.

Nov-29-18  fishcake: Rf5 is to play Re5, to cut the white queen from defending g3. And also to be able to check with the rook on the g-file later.
Nov-29-18  WaxTadpole: Can you imagine what the kibitzing would be like if a game between these two guys was live on chessgames?

perfidious: A fine attacking display by Tal in the midst of a disastrous result, as he was reckoned a favourite to qualify going in, and part of a skein which saw Larsen fall from first with 5.5/6 to well out of a candidates spot.
