Sep-20-03  popski: He draw with a girl like this? Heh, Waitzkin, Waitzkin ...
Sep-20-03  PinkPanther: Josh Waitzkin is a joke, end of story.
Sep-20-03  iceysteps: I wonder what her rating was? That might explain why he was willing to draw so quicky.
Sep-20-03  refutor: <i wonder what her rating was> a better question might be "i wonder what round this was"...i have a feeling it was the last round and waitzkin only needed a draw to finish in the money. grosar was likely severely lower rated and was happy to draw waitzkin
Oct-12-04  cheetos: is there anybody out there?

tpstar: just nod if you can hear me
Oct-12-04  clocked: is there anybody home?
May-08-07  piroflip: the new Fischer?
Bobby would have rather died than do this.
May-12-07  Knight13: <grosar was likely severely lower rated and was happy to draw waitzkin> She was like 2200 and NOT severely lower rated.
May-13-07  VinnyRoo2002: I visited uschess.org, and their isn't a game from 1993 where Josh drawed Kiti Grosar in Rd. 8. What is the explanation for this? BTW, you might not like Josh Waitzkin, but he was definitely a very strong player. Just look at his results and players he finished above. Many of these players are IMs and Gms.
Feb-17-10  Adirondacker: VinnyRoo2002: 1) Was this a USCF sanctioned game or was it a FIDE game?

2) To those wondering, unless I am mistaken I believe in '94 Josh & Kiti were an item. You don't think there was a little psychology / emotion in play here? I wonder how some of the arm chair critics here would fare if their girl friend / SO / spouse were a (W)IM...
