kevin86: Why didn't white take the bishop on move 45? Here he traps the bishop and then doesn't take it!? Then later he goes fishin' and loses the knight!

unclewalter: on 45 if white takes bishop, those 3 connected passed pawns are gonna be hard to stop. it seems white tried to force a win out of a draw here and ended up losing.
Oct-04-04  likestofork: 45. dxe6 fxe6 46. Kg3 d5 47. Kf4 Kd6, and you might want to take your chances stopping the connected, passed pawns, only 2 of which are actually passed. I agree with taking the bishop....if you can't win that endgame as White, well, you don't necessarily have to give up chess entirely. But you definitely might (definitely? might? oxymoron, huh?) want to set your Grandmaster aspirations to something a little more realistic.
