Sep-06-06  Craigokat: Blacks 20th must be ...Be6 and not ...a6 as listed.

WannaBe: <Craigokat> Why do you say that? Does that mean the rest of the PGN is also wrong?

Phony Benoni: If you play through the rest of the game, it's pretty obvious. First, White leaves the knight en prise on b5 for no apparent reason. Then he moves it to e6 for even less reason. White then puts his rook en prise to the bishop several times. Finally, Black resigns in a position where 46...Bg4 wins immediately.

After 20...Be6, 21.b3 guarding the c-pawn makes sense. Then 28.Ne6 captures the bishop, which is therefore not around to capture the rook or win the game at the end.

Breunor: Also, on 25. Qxe7 looks awfully good for white if the bishop is still on C8

Phony Benoni: <Breunor> Yes, 25.Qxe7 would be very good for White if only he weren't in check from the knight.
