Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-24-05   Autoreparaturwerkbau: Ok, where's the win for white here??
Sep-24-05   Happypuppet: Black cannot move the knight because of Kxg2. Because of this he can't protect the g3 pawn. He'll lose one pawn next move, the other will certainly fall soon, and then it's KQ vs. KN, an obvious loss.
Sep-24-05   Autoreparaturwerkbau: <Happypuppet> I'm sorry, but i don't think i understand your point. Would you please reveal me your winning line?
Sep-24-05   Autoreparaturwerkbau: Btw: g3 pawn is protected due to knight fork, e.g. 102...Kf5, 103.Qxg3, 103... Ne2+

Am i missing something?

Sep-24-05   samvega: <Auto...> Good point, but note that if the black king ever goes to g5, white captures g3 w/ check, while if ..Ke5, white captures w/ a pin. If 102..Kf5 then white can extemporize w/ 103.Kf3.
