Act I (The Trap)

White has just set a drawing trap by playing 94.Ra6-a7.

He is looking at 94...f4 95.Bb6+ and 96 Rxf7.

Act II (The Refutation)

Olafsson saw a hole in this trick and played:

94...Nb5

The trap fails because after Bb6+ and Rxf7 the Knight goes to d6+ forking the White King and Rook.

Act III (Clutching at a Passing Straw.)

White discovered his trap had rebounded so went for one last drawing attempt. Stalemate.
