Kibitzer's Corner
May-13-08   zb2cr: The very young John Nunn gets into trouble by going Pawn-hunting with his development not complete in this one. His QN and QR remain just innocent bystanders the whole time.

Black resigns not only because he stands to lose the exchange, but also 24. ... Bxf6; 25. Qxf6, Nd7; 26. Qxf7+, Qxf7; 27. Rb7!, Qxc4; 28. Rxc4, Rd8; 29. Ra4 wins another Pawn and gets White in position to double Rooks on the 7th rank. With 2 Pawns + the exchange ahead, and the two extra Pawns behind united and passed, White has a crushing edge.
