  alexrawlings: Why doesn't white play 28 Bxc4 or Qxb6?
Sep-12-07   pawnofdoom: <alexrawlings> I think you mean 28 Bxc5

Both moves appear to gain a pawn, but I think in both cases black simply gets the pawn back, and leaves white with two isolated pawns, and removes blacks isolated pawns, improving his own pawn structure while deproving whites.

28. Bxc5 bxc5 29. Qxc5 Bxb2

or

28. Qxb6 Na4 29. Qb3 Nxb2 or Bxb2, I'm not gonna bother figuring out which one's better

But this is just what I think. I may be wrong
