Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-07-08  Whitehat1963: What are the crucial mistakes here? I'm strongly suspicious of 16. 0-0-0; I think 0-0 might have been better.
Aug-07-08  Whitehat1963: Was 25. Qxb2 a blunder? What happens if Larsen plays 25. Qa3 instead?
Aug-07-08  guaguanco: 25...c3 still seems pretty crushing. At a minimum white loses the exchange, but I think much worse is in store for him.
Aug-07-08  Whitehat1963: I don't see it. If 25. Qa3 c3 26. Nxc3. Now what?

If 26...Bxc3 27. Qxc3

If 26...Rxb6 27. Bxb6

Aug-07-08  guaguanco: Well, I don't have a board in front of me, but it looks like 25.Qa3 c3 26.Nxc3 Nc4+ is strong.
Aug-07-08  Whitehat1963: Oops! Good point!

saffuna: According to Nikolay Minev, the error is 16. 0-0-0.
Oct-12-16  Howard: Remind me to look at the tournament book---it's at home right now.
Oct-14-16  Howard: Just looked at the tournament book the other night, but it doesn't say much. Just says Larsen castled into an attack--no notes to the game are given.
