Honza Cervenka: Playing 16...fxe4 Larsen certainly did not expected 17.Qd1! Of course, after 17.Qxe4(?!) Nef6 black has no problems. The point of Portisch's witty retreat of Queen is that after 17...Nef6 white can play 18.h6 Bh8 19.Bh3 Nc5 20.Be3 with advantage.

If 19...Nb6 20.Nxe4 Nfxd5, then 21.Bg5 and black Queen is unable to defend Pd6 (21...Qc7 22.Rac1 Qd7 23.Bh3 etc.)

20...Nxd5 is bad for 21.Nxd5 Qxd5 22.b4 with next Bxe4.

25.Ne2! and 28.Rxg7! are decisive tactical shots.
