plang: 13..Ne5 and 13..Nd4?! had been played previously; 13..Nb4 was new but does not seem to be an improvement over 13..Ne5. With Black's knight offside on a6 White's kingside attack was very promising but 21 Ng1? was not the best way to accomplish it; one more promising line was 21 Qf2..Qd7 22 Nd2..Qxg4 23 Ne4..f5 24 Nxd6..f4 25 Nxe8..Rxe8 26 Bh2..Re2 27 Qf3..Qxf3 28 Rxf3 with a clear advantage for White. Morozovich's risky bid for counterplay with 22..b5?! would habe led to a solid White edge after 29 Rd1..gxh 30 Rxa5; instead Sadvakasov's 29 Rxa5? let Morozovich off the hook.

Kavalek on 30 Bxd6?!:
"30 Qd5+ keeps the draw in hand but White hasn't got used to the fact that he might not be better anymore. Black's control of the central files, and pressure against the pawn on g4 negate any advantage that White may have."

In time pressure White was surely thrown off by the sharp 33..h5!. Perhaps 34 b3 would have been a tougher defense.
