Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-02-08  Whitehat1963: Crushing play from the at-the-time 9-year-old younger Muzychuk.

Gilmoy: 21..Nd7 is a youthful indiscretion. 22.Qd3 leaps headlong into the discovered attack -- normally a blunder, hence Black pruned it away too soon, and didn't examine the smiting. Pinned and tripled! The continuation is clever -- Black nearly wins the N back, but her oddly placed Q is amazingly trapped, and White's N lays down a zwieschen-ish spike strip on f8.
Apr-02-08  Whitehat1963: I like that the gifted 9-year-old saw that the alternative (24...Rxd7) doesn't work either: 25. Qg8+ (or Qh8+) Qf8 26. Qxf8+ Kxf8 27. Rxd7.
