Oct-01-06   Bob726: If it wasn't for the 50 move rule, black could have won on move 141. with Re7! A possible conclusion might be 142. Rg6 Rd7 143. Ka8 Kb6 144. Rg8 Ra7+ 145. Kb8 Re7 146. Ka8 Re6 147. Kb8 Nb5 148. Kc8 Rd6 149. Rg7 Na7+ and now white is forced to give up the exchange since Kb8?? allows Rd8#. But the 50 move rule destroys that possibility
