| Oct-20-08 | | ChessKaze: wow. I´m sweatin´ :)) |
| Dec-06-08 | | WhiteRook48: 14.... d3+ weird, maybe Traxler did not want his opponent to resign |
| Feb-14-09 | | Acephalic: Ah I love to see games like this but it only works if white plays wrong. Playing a line with the hopes that your opponent will mess up isn't the a good idea. "The refutation is 5.Bxf7+"
Sure Plomp vs Lambers 1989 or Estrin vs Nun have ideas but 0-0 and 7. c3 might shut down the Knight for Black. If you play the fried liver and don't understand the Bxf7+ vrs Nxf7 after 4... Bc4 then someone is going to slap you across the face with this work of art. Fool me once shame on me, wait no on you.... wait fool me twice (bushism) you know what I am talking about : ) |
| Mar-02-09 | | fref: Beautiful mate with a pawn! |
| Mar-17-09 | | WhiteRook48: hilarious! |
| Mar-27-09 | | Pawnage: Haha! 14...Bd3+! White must have known mate was inevitable after that, but I guess he let Traxler carry on. |
| May-19-09 | | tazerdadog: Why 8 Bb3?? what is the win? |
| Aug-16-09 | | LaFreak III: Dancing King.. |

Aug-16-09
 | | sleepyirv: Coincidentally, I was looking through the Traxler line earlier to use for blitz. I'm not sure I'm bloodthirsty enough. Quite a game by Traxler and nice pun! |

 | | An Englishman: Good Evening: I'm going to miss the Traxler/Wilkes-Barre. At least it took over a century to find the refutation. |

| Aug-16-09 | | sileps: wow, this is a really nice mating combination |

 | | RandomVisitor: The move 6.Ke2 is apparently unplayable in this line, white might try 6.Ke2 Nd4 <7.Kf1> Qe7 8.Nxh8 d5 9.Be2 Bh4 10.d3 (10.Bh5+ g6) Qf8 and white is lost. |
