Phony Benoni: I was Black in this game. My opponent was not John Donaldson, but Ken Davidson. I wouldn't admit this if it weren't true, since I was over 400 points higher rated than Davidson.
Feb-10-06  Jim Bartle: Props (is that the term today?) for honesty.

Phony Benoni: Well, it ain't Dagwood or Dogbert.

tpstar: <Phony Benoni> Sorry, I thought you were someone from Michigan. My apologies.
Feb-11-06  Fan of Leko: I wonder if black is OK after Rad8 (instead of c4?). At any rate it would not be so easy for Donaldson to win.

Phony Benoni: <tpstar> Sorry that I misled you. The first name is David, I do come from Michigan, and Resignation Trap sent me. If you remember me at all, you'll know that I have a weird sense of humor.

<Fan of Leko> Yes, Rad8 would have been better. But, frankly, if I had been playing Donaldson, I still think he would have won!

Phony Benoni: <WannaBe> If that's the only way I can become part of the GOTD, so be it. There is no such thing as bad publicity.

But I would like to thank chessgames.com for correcting the name of my opponent.

Jan-21-09  WhiteRook48: What kind of last name is Moody? Just seems so weird for a name...maybe I forgot to study history (!!)
Mar-01-09  moodini: There is nothing wrong with the name Moody! By the way it comes from the Dutch word 'moedig' which means courageous (well that is what I claim anyway).
