In my opinion, I think K + R vs K is the easiest position to win. When your board only has two kings and a pawn which is destined to promote, always promote to a rook, becuase then you have lesser chances of stalemate. |

This looks roughly like a one minute blitz game between patzers.
Its hard to justify this kind of play. |

55...c1=R: Since I know the KR vs K mate inside and out (no boasting intended) and there are often tons of traps the lone king can set up, I don't see why not. |
