Oct-15-04		notsodeepthought: I agree, 17 ... e5 looks ok (certainly better than resigning). I guess black was left open-mouthed by white's combination.

Jun-03-05		thesonicvision: 17. Nxd7+ looks good... A 17... Kd8 18. Nf6+ Bd7 19. Rxd7++ ...but it fails to... B 17... e5 18. Bxe5 Bd6 19. Bxd6+ Kxd7 20. Bxc5 or 17... e5 18. Nxe5 Bd6 and white is up only a pawn
