May-23-04  ruylopez900: Analysis by Kenney afterwards (he is a friend of mine):

41.Qg5 and Black must give up his queen to stop mate immediately (but this is hardly a solution as Kenney then has sufficient material and positional plusses to win)

May-25-04  aboynamedgeorge: Yes, you found the right place!

I was very nervous at that point in the game, black had very little time left, and there was a crowd (almost 30 people!) around the board, including the late, great, GM Tony Miles.

I knew immediately when I had blown it with dxe, since the crowd dispersed pretty quickly shaking their heads. : /

Nf6+ was probably unsound, and Black's Qd7 moving off the dark squares was a bad mistake. : /

Looking at this game, I get the feeling I was better back then, since I don't understand why I played some of the moves I did. ; )
