May-28-05   aw1988: However, I would not like to assume black is lost after Qxa8.

Phony Benoni: White's little shot winning the exchange with 11.Nb6 is quite nice, but I much prefer Black's manuever to force a draw after <45.f4>:

<45...Bc3> was an cute little echo of 11.Nb6, as 46.bxc3 Rxb7 loses the exchange due to a pin. <46.Rf2 Be1> followed, and since 47.Rf3 Be4 was no help White had to try <47.Rf1>.

Now, after <47...Bg3+ 48.Kg1 Bh2+ 49.Kf2 Bg3+>, White was forced to accede to the perpetual check or lose the exchange. Very amusing--at least, for us!
