  Honza Cervenka: Unbelievable game.
Aug-15-05   marekg248: Remarkable game.

Kholmov's noted in his annotations that black lost on time and that because of open position of white king black was able to defend some more, but white keeps the advantage after 39...Qa3+ 40.Ba4 Qc3+ 41.Kb6.

Kholmov also wrote that 24.Nd5 would lose immediately - 24...Rb3+ 25.Kd2 Qf2# Drazen Marovic then suggested 24.Rd5, which he thought was stronger than one played by Kholmov.

He gave 29...Be7 a question mark, because 29...Bc5! was necessary, and after 30.Bxa6 Qe3+ 31.Qxe3 Bxe3 32.fxe5 the game should be drawn.
