Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-22-05  hamworld: isn't it mate
Jan-24-06  GreenDayGuy: Yes, unless black plays Kc8 :)
Dec-16-06  hamworld: LOL. I love chess.
May-04-14  GumboGambit: Is this called the Snail Variation because of the opening novelty of 2..Na6, or the slow mental process shown in Blacks last two moves?

perfidious: Odd question indeed, coming from the poster who knows everything about opening nomenclature and classification.....

Eggman: It isn't often you see a player who once beat Capablanca getting checkmated in 8 moves, really.

Phony Benoni: It may not have been Charles Jaffe. Chernev's "1000 Best Short Games of Chess" gives the game as <Charosh vs. L. Jaffe>, specifying that White was the problemist Mannis Charosh. Chernev cites no sources, so I'd like to see a little more confirmation of this.
