suenteus po 147: Does anyone know about the missing round from the 1963 US Championship? It seems like there are only ten rounds of games when there should be eleven, yet Evans played all ten opponents in this database (but Fischer's win against Saidy is missing). Any help would be appreciated.
Mar-25-08  nescio: <suenteus po 147> Do you mean round 11 ?

Evans-D.Byrne is this game.

Bisguier-Addison
Weinstein-R.Byrne
Benko-Mednis
Steinmeyer-Reshevsky
are apparently not in this database.

Saidy vs Fischer, 1964 is, but with the wrong year (1964).

suenteus po 147: <nescio> Thanks for finding the Fischer game! I wonder if anyone has the PGN for the four missing games?
Mar-25-08  nescio: <suenteus po 147: I wonder if anyone has the PGN for the four missing games?> I do. You want me to submit them. I suppose?

suenteus po 147: <nescio> I would, but don't go to any trouble. My time spent submitting games and collecting tournaments is my own and easily frittered away. I don't expect, and I try not to ask too often for others to do the same.

keypusher: Saidy-Fischer was played (or maybe just finished) on January 2, 1964 according to Wade & O'Connell. The Fischer-Benko Rf6 game was on December 30.
Mar-26-08  nescio: <suenteus po 147> I don't mind helping you with your collections. I still think you are overdoing it, but if you like it... There is no trouble, I emailed the games to mr. Freeman.
Mar-26-08  nescio: <keypusher> I see, the Hastings phenomenon. In the future you'll see it no doubt with the Rilton Cup. Endless confusion among our tournament collectors :)
