Nov-02-02		bishop: Black botched the opening and never did complete his development, the defence of his d-pawn was a big headache. A well played game by White.

Jul-22-07		notyetagm: This game is a perfect example of why you need to learn =some= <OPENING THEORY>. Here Black looks almost completely busted after a mere 10(!) moves. Position after 10 d1-a4+! e8-e7 click for larger view Hard to believe that a player of near IM-stregth (2350) could have such a horrible position after only 10 moves.

A well played game by White.> Yes, White tied Black down to the defense of the weak Black d6-pawn until it was time to mate the Black king on the <WEAK DARK SQUARES> with the maneuver b4-d2-h6-g7#. A game that was dominated by two positional/strategic themes: <WEAK PAWNS> (Black d6-pawn) and <WEAK COLOR COMPLEX> (f6-g7-h6 dark squares). A beautiful example of <SIMPLE CHESS> that would make Micheal Stean proud.
