Sep-04-05  refutor: to all the Réti-ers out there (AgentRgent i'm looking in your direction)...is 3.e4 really so bad? It has a terrible winning percentage, but positionally what's wrong with it? it looks as good as anything else...on principle, i know you're not supposed to move a pawn to e4 in the réti until at least the 15th move, and then definitely not just in one move (should include an e3 in there) ;)
Sep-17-05  Brown: <refutor> my first games book was Reti's greatest games, and while looking for variations of this sort, I played quite a few games with e4 against a computer and with friends. I like it. Seems easy to play, and the pawns pushed to e5 leads to my kind of game.

In this game I think 13.Nd6 is played too quickly. Better to leave it in hand and look for better squares for the queen or rooks, and the consequences of Nfg5 and Neg5 must be considered as well... Often, this game results in a nice attacking position
