Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-09-03  Rookpawn: Black's worries don't end after he loses the queen. Both Black's b-pawn and rook are en prise, while his awkwardly placed bishop can also be attacked soon.
Oct-20-04  leokline: I selected only games with annotation to study-this one and others seem to have no annotation
Oct-20-04  mack: Yes there is - 22...a6??

What a terrible game!

Apr-20-05  britny rules: theres some nice Annotation in this game
Jun-05-05  Ernest van der Sar: <Rookpawn> Are you serious???? It's an absolute insult to the game when one plays on after losing the queen for a bishop in a position like this.
Jun-09-05  Jaymthetactician: What was the point of 10...Bb6? And what ever happened to 3.Nf3?
Jun-09-05  Jaymthetactician: 5.Nf3 is much better then Qf3, as the queen is forced to make a decision.

Knight13: I can't believe Black fell into that trick. This game is physco!
Jun-28-06  joe barnett: erm... from move 22 onwards... black didn't suspect anything. that must have been embarassing!
Apr-02-07  Skylark: There are a number of errors in this game. 4. ... g5? 5. Qf3? is overly aggressive, and only interrupts white's natural development. 5. Nc3 is better. What was he thinking playing 16. ... cxb6? Also, 17. ... Ne7 looks stronger, intending at some point to try and undermine white with ... d5. 22. Qa4? lays a trap, but is pretty much pointless. 22. ... a6?????????? the blood thins.

  Honza Cervenka: 10...Nd4 11.Qc3 (11.Nxd4 Qxd4 ; 11.Qa4+ Bd7 ) 11...Bh3+ 12.Ke1 (12.Kf2 Nb5+ and 13...Nxc3 ) 12...Bb4 13.Qxb4 Nxc2+ and 14...Nxb4 would have won the game for black.

Instead of 9.Qb3 which could have been followed by 9...gxf4 with clear advantage of black 9.Qh5 seems to be better as it pins g-Pawn (9...gxf4 10.Qxc5).

<22. Qa4? lays a trap, but is pretty much pointless. 22. ... a6?????????? the blood thins.> 22.Qa4 is in fact a winning move here. After any retreat of the Queen instead of 22...a6 simple 23.Qxa7 wins quickly.

<17. ... Ne7 looks stronger> After that 18.Bxf7 is possible.

Aug-28-07  venk98: dumbest game
Oct-22-08  newzild: Wow, what a terrible game. It just shows how far chess has come in 328 years.
Jul-24-09  just a kid: <Jaym>3.Bc4 is ok too.
Jul-25-09  I Like Fish: indeed...
