Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-02-03  refutor: i realize that Black's position isn't that great but isn't 21. ... ♕g5 immediately losing?
Jun-02-03  drukenknight: I think just before that there is a problem, black should attempt to force exchanges, 20...Rc8 seems logical off the top.
Jun-02-03  Woodpusher: refutor, Black was lost at the time he played 21...Qg5, there is no way to save the bishop and the Queen. 21...Qh4 is hardly any batter. So 20...Nc5 looks like the culprit, but I think Black was lost at that point anyhow. If not ...Nc5, then what?

20...Qe8? loses a piece to 21.Nc2

20...Rc8? suggested by drukenknight also loses a piece to 21.Nc2

20...a6?! is a cute try but 21.Nxe6! fxe6 22.Rxd7 wins for White.

finally 20...Qe7 Rc7 21. Rfd8 (or Rbd8) 22. Nc6! and White wins the knight.

Jun-03-03  drukenknight: woodpusher what about 20...Bd6?
Jun-03-03  Woodpusher: On 20...Bd6 I think I prefer 21.Nf3 and White wins a piece again. (...Qe7 22.Bxd7 Qxd7 23.e5 etc.)
Jun-03-03  drukenknight: now thinking about 20...Bc5
Jun-03-03  Cyphelium: 20.- Bc5 21. Nf3 Rb7 22. Ne5 winning.
