An Englishman: Good Evening: I'm convinced that after Black's 10th move, each player felt certain that his opponent had fallen into a trap. Black was forced to accede to the loss of a pawn on move 16, but was able to find enough compensation to win.

However, I confess that I don't get White's 19th move. If it was forced, then he was already in huge trouble, but allowing 19...Raf8 with a decisive strengthening of the attack just seems wrong to me.

Oct-17-07   sambo: The only explanation is that the queen is taking up a valuable exit square for both the knights; it needs to be moved sooner or later. But you're right; Rf8 is the beginning of the end.
