patzer2: White, rated 2306, misses three winning tactical shots in his last five moves against a 2501 rated opponent, forcusing only a line giving a draw by perpetual check.

White misses a winning double attack by not playing 35. Qb7!! One pretty possibility is 35. Qb7!! Rf8 36. Qxd7+ Rf7 37. h6+ Kg8 38. Qe8+ Rf8 Qxg6+ Kh8 40. Qg7#.

White missed a second win by not playing 36. Qf5!! One possibility is 36. Qf5!! Rf8 37. Nh5+ Kg8 38. Qxd7 and Black can't avoid a quick mate.

White misses a third win by not playing 38. Bh6!! The main line is 38. Bh6!! Qc1+ 39. Kh2 Qf4+ 40. Kh3 Qxh6 41. Nxh6+ Kg7 (and now White can win a fairly routine ending with 42. Kg3 Rxh6 43. Qe2 Rxg3+ 44. Kh2 or go for a brilliancy) 42. Nf5+!! Kg8 43. g4! Nf6 44. Kh4! Nxh5 45. gxh5 d5 46. Kg5 Rh7 (47...d4 48. Kf6! threatening 49. Ne7#) 47. gxh7+ with an easily won ending for White.

I suppose the possibility of time trouble might account for White taking the clear draw by perpetual after 38. Ne7+ Kg7 39. Nf5+ =.
