whiteshark: According to Raymond Keene's <Reappraisal>, p114 (+crosstable p101), this game has been played in Sept 1912 at the <All-Russian championship>.

If you look at the Nimzowitsch - biography in <My System> and the tournament tables at the end you'll find no tournament play in 1921. He seems to have started playing seriously again not until 1923 (disregarding the disaster at Göteborg 1920). So it's most likely that the numbers were simply switched.

Phony Benoni: Further confirmation: the result and colors match those of their round 8 game at Vilna 1912, though that round was probably played on August 29.
